Margaret (Dabek) Curtin is originally from Poland but has lived in Baltimore ever since moving to the U.S. and considers herself a Charm City enthusiast. She completed her undergraduate degree in Chemistry at the University of Maryland Baltimore County in 2007 prior to starting her Pharm.D. degree at the University of Maryland. Her interest in drug design and synthesis drove her to design and pursue a degree in research, earning her Ph.D. in Organic Chemistry in May 2012. She finished her 6-year dual degree program in May 2013 when she graduated with her Pharm.D. Margaret's professional interests include critical care, internal medicine and oncology. In the future, she hopes to pursue a clinical specialty and precept budding pharmacy students to fulfill her passion for teaching and furthering the profession of pharmacy. To relax, Margaret enjoys spending quality time with her husband, traveling, shopping and taking long walks along Baltimore's scenic waterside.
Imran Qureshi received his Pharm.D. from the University of Maryland School of Pharmacy in 2013. He also received a B.S. in Biological Sciences from the University of Maryland, Baltimore County (UMBC) in 2008. Imran was born and raised in Kingsville, MD and worked in the Upper Chesapeake Health Center inpatient pharmacy while in pharmacy school. He aspires to continue his pharmacy career in academia and palliative care. He chose to become a resident to challenge his pharmacy knowledge in a variety of clinical settings. Imran is a member of ASHP and the AZO Pharmaceutical Fraternity. His interests outside of pharmacy include music, comic books, video games and laughing. If Imran had not chosen a pharmacy career he would have been an elementary school teacher.
