Pediatric Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery

Pediatric Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery includes evaluation and treatment of pediatric patients with injuries and anomalies of the head and neck. This includes problems of the jaws, facial bones, facial soft tissues, and teeth. Surgical services include:

Pediatric Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery
  • Cleft Lip and/or Palate
  • Congenital Facial Differences (eg. Hemifacial micosomia, Treacher Collins syndrome)
  • Pediatric Facial Injuries
  • Pediatric Head and Neck Pathology/Jaw Tumors
  • Orthognathic Surgery

Services are provided by board certified specialist John F. Caccamese, Jr., D.M.D., M.D., F.A.C.S., who was named to Baltimore Magazine’s “Top Doctors” List in 2008, 2011, and 2012. He serves on the Greater Baltimore and Kernan Hospital Cleft Teams and is full time faculty at the University of Maryland in the departments of oral and maxillofacial surgery and pediatrics.
