Virginia Minnick Auxiliary Scholarship

Carroll Hospital Foundation's Virginia Minnick Auxiliary Scholarship is a $2,500 scholarship that is awarded to one college-bound child or grandchild of a team member or volunteer or a junior volunteer of Carroll Hospital or its affiliates.

Things to Consider:

Junior Volunteers generally serve 4 hours per day, once per week. The hours are 8 a.m. to noon and noon to 4 p.m. Monday through Friday. Please make sure you have transportation for these times.

Also:

  • Junior Volunteers must be available to volunteer a minimum of 8 weeks between June and August. If vacations, camp or athletics will keep you away for more than 2 weeks, please consider applying the following year.
  • The expectation is that all students will make good use of their time during their shift. However, depending on patient census, downtime may be a possibility. Please consider visiting with patients or offering help to staff in another area.
  • For hospital team members: If you are considering having your child or a relative volunteer with us, it will not be possible to place them in the same department to which you are assigned. Please refer to the HR Policy regarding nepotism.
