S. Marc Testa, Ph.D., a state-licensed psychologist, specializes in the areas of epilepsy, psychogenic seizures, cerebrovascular disease, dementia, and traumatic brain injury in the adult population. In addition to his clinical duties in the Division of Neuropsychology at the Berman Brain & Spine Institute, he serves as its clinical training director.
After earning a combined master’s degree in psychology and neuroscience at the University of Hartford in West Hartford, Connecticut, Dr. Testa earned a second master’s degree in clinical psychology and a doctoral degree in clinical psychology with a focus on neuropsychology at the University of Cincinnati in Cincinnati, Ohio. He then completed an internship in clinical psychology at the VA Maryland Health Care System/University of Maryland and a clinical neuropsychology fellowship in the Department of Psychiatry and Behavioral Sciences at The Johns Hopkins University.
A frequent presenter at national and international meetings, Dr. Testa has co-authored journal articles, book chapters, and professional manuals. He has served as an ad hoc reviewer for several well-respected journals and is a member of the American Psychological Association and the International Neuropsychological Society.
Dr. Testa conducts neuropsychological assessments with adults who present with a variety of neurologic disorders and cognitive changes.
